NO WRIT OF GOVT IN KARACHI : IMRAN KHAN

Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf Chairman, Imran Khan, has said that there is no threat to Karachi from the recent fear of Talibanisation but the real threat is from MQM Chief Altaf Hussain.
Tehrik-i-Insaaf Chairman was talking to the media at the Lahore Airport after the authorities stopped him from boarding a Karachi-bound flight, DawnNews reported.
He said that there is no writ of the government in Karachi and asked the government to explain under which law he has been stopped from travelling to Karachi.
Imran Khan went on to say that the MQM is not a party; it’s a mafia.
The PTI Chairman said that the government is trying to protect Altaf Hussain and the May 12 Karachi carnage case.
Imran Khan said he wanted to visit Karachi to raise funds for the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust Cancer Hospital.
‘It’s shameful,’ Khan told reporters at the airport in Lahore where authorities stopped him boarding a flight to Karachi.
‘Under what law can they stop a Pakistani citizen going to Karachi? Isn’t Karachi a city of Pakistan?’
Khan said he had been hoping to take a message of peace to Karachi.
‘We’re trying to forge unity among all ethnic groups but Altaf Hussein considers Karachi his property and stopped us,’ Khan said.
The government of Sindh province on Saturday issued an order banning Khan from the province for a month.
Scores of workers from Khan’s Tehrik-e-Insaaf, or Movement of Justice, party took to the streets in Karachi to portest his exclusion, blocking a main road for some time.
